Mireille C. Algazi, M.D.

Biography

Mireille Claude Algazi, M.D., holds a BA in Physics from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.  She earned her medical degree form the University of California at San Diego School of Medicine.  Upon graduating, Dr. Algazi completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles Medical Center.  Subsequently, she completed a dermatology residency at the University of Arizona where she served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Algazi is a founding partner of Specialists in Dermatology, P.L.L.C.

Dr. Algazi is a native speaker of Spanish and French.  She grew up in Mexico City and moved to the United States to study after finishing high school at the Lycee Franco-Mexicain.

Dr. Algazi has focused her practice on caring for the patient as a whole individual.  She believes that the skin reflects a person’s health.  It is not unusual for consultations with her to lead to discussions on the patient’s nutrition, other medical problems or to topics of stress management.  She sees the patient as taking a central role in their care and tailors the patient’s treatment plan to his or her particular life circumstances.

Dr. Algazi has developed her medical practice with the philosophy of a care team.  Every office employee becomes an integral part of the care team.  Since each team member is a valued and unique participant in the care of the patient, employees see their role in making life better for every patient and coworker.
