A Journey That Spans Continents

Don's path into healthcare began early. He started his nursing career at just 20 years old in the Philippines, a testament to his drive and dedication from the very beginning. In 1999, he made his first major move abroad, relocating to London, United Kingdom, where he continued practicing nursing and set his sights even higher.

While in London, Don pursued advanced education at Middlesex University and earned the distinction of becoming the first Medical Nurse Practitioner from Asia at both North Middlesex University NHS Hospital and Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Hospital. It's the kind of milestone that doesn't happen by accident, it takes talent, perseverance, and a willingness to push through barriers others haven't crossed before.

Eventually, the call of new horizons brought Don and his family to Tucson, where he joined Tucson Medical Center and continued building his clinical foundation.

Academic Excellence and Professional Credentials

In 2018, Don earned his Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Phoenix, graduating with honors, giving him the title Don Valmores, FNP-C. He was also inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, nursing's most prestigious academic honor society, recognizing his academic excellence and commitment to the profession.

Don is a National Board Certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and actively participates in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, the Southern Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse – Nurse Practitioner Society, and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.

Expertise in Dermatology and Aesthetics

Don's interest in dermatology and aesthetics is matched by his commitment to staying current. In 2021, he expanded his skill set by obtaining certifications in Botox, Fillers, and Lasers through the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.

But Don doesn't stop there. He's passionate about attending dermatology and anti-aging conferences around the world, actively seeking out the latest breakthroughs so his patients benefit from cutting-edge care. Whatever's new in medical or cosmetic dermatology, Don brings it back to the clinic, and to you.

Outside of the clinic, Don loves international travel and immersing himself in different cultures alongside his wife and two children. That same curiosity and openness he brings to the world is exactly what he brings to his practice.
